Holiday Adopt a Family Program  

 

Each year, The American Canyon Family Resource Center asks the community to donate new, unwrapped toys, OR to “adopt” a family for Christmas.  If you want to adopt, you, the Donor/Adopter, will be given the person’s wish list with clothing sizes and items.  As the donor, you are asked to make someone’s holiday a little happier by purchasing new clothes and items from their wish list.

 All items must be delivered to The American Canyon Family Resource Center new and unwrapped. Christmas may be the only time during the year they may receive clothing, shoes, and toys that are brand-new!

 How it works:

• American Canyon Family Resource Center collects wish lists from clients and their families, which include approximately 3 gifts per individual or more if you like – We ask adopters to limit their purchases to only new items and purchase what’s detailed on the wish list.

 

• Wish lists are distributed to “adopters” (that’s you!) beginning the week of November 17^th; we do our best to give adopters 3 weeks to shop for and wrap gifts.

 

• Purchased gifts will be delivered to American Canyon Family resource Center on or before Monday, December 14^th 2014

 

• We ask adopters to ensure that gifts are clearly labeled with family code and bundled by family, so we can insure they stay together and get delivered to your adopted family.

 

• After we receive all of your gifts, we will contact the adopted family and have them come by and pick up their presents in time to enjoy them for their special holiday!

 

Gift Delivery & Wrapping

• Gifts are delivered to The ACFRC at 3423 Broadway St, Suite D1, located inside Canyon Plaza

 

• Wrapping is not necessary, but ensure that they are CLEARLY LABELED.  Or donate gift labels and tape (wrapping paper not necessary)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

American Canyon Family Resource Center and Toys for Tots have joined to form the Holiday Assistance Program for American Canyon families in need of assistance during the holidays.

 

 

 

You can contribute to your local Toys for Tots campaign in several ways. You can donate a toy at one of the area toy drop locations, host a Toys for Tots event at your home, office or other venue and collect toys for Toys for Tots
